To express and create, not repress and accumulate

The quote summarizes our vision of the creative process that guides our art nude photography workshops. We bring together the key elements of solid photography technique, with models who are beautiful and creative, and shoot in locations that are visually appealing and memorable. Our work is inspired by an appreciation of the great photographers who precede us - Edward Weston, Ruth Bernard, Helmut Newton, Frantisek Drtikol, Robert Farber and of course many others who are active today.

Our “Learning” workshops are intended for those who may be experienced as photographers, but have not worked with the art nude as a genre and want to learn the skills of lighting, posing and developing their own unique “signature” as photographers. These workshops demonstrate the “how to” aspects of good photographic technique and the use of light to create great images both using studio and natural lighting.

Our “Creative” workshops are designed for photographers who may have mastered good photographic technique, but want to participate in a creative process where there is a theme or concept that inspires them. Examples are our historical themed workshops, or topics such as “The Photographer as Voyeur” or “The Anonymous Nude” where we add a creative theme to our workshops to add variety and diversity to a photographer’s portfolio.

Of course, the creative process of making great photographs requires models who love to collaborate in that experience. We use professional models for our workshops who have great portfolios, worked with many photographers and who above all want to create art using their mind and body in collaboration with our workshop photographers.
