Our STORY…

Paulo began the Carriage House Studio in 2008, after a visit to London, Paris and Prague, where he saw photography exhibits of the the art nude that were very different from the US style of glamour nudes made popular by Playboy and Penthouse magazines.

The Carriage House Studio began to offer art nude workshops in a restored 1850’s carriage house in Washington D.C., just a few blocks from the White House.  Over the next decade, he developed a series of art nude workshops, and has worked with hundreds of photographers and countless models.  He is currently working on his first book of art nudes drawing on the experience of a decade of photography as Founder and Director of the Carriage House Studio.

Joy Lamore visited Washington D.C. on a US tour, and her work as an art nude model for the Carriage House Photography Workshops was simply extraordinary!  Paulo had had lived in Spain as a student, so that the “Spanish Connection” was immediate, and a year later, the idea of an Eu Art Nude Workshop series became a reality.  Joy is much more than a model, she is a creative muse, with little or no limits to her willingness to create and make artistic photographs.  She also has had the experience of an international model throughout Europe, working with great photographers, and developing contacts with other outstanding models.  

Together provide an opportunity for art nude photographers to experience the best that Europe has to offer - great models, locations, food and companionship.  A unique “Euro Art Nude Workshop” experience!
